The cross country team had an impressive showing on Friday as the men took second and the women took fourth in the Pac-12 Preview at Robinson's Ranch Golf Course. The men, who are currently ranked 27th in the USTFCCCA national poll, finished behind 18th ranked Northern Arizona and the women's 5k invite title was claimed by the 27th ranked Texas Longhorns.

Sophomore Lane Werley led the way for the Bruin men and finished fifth overall (24:41). Werley and junior Dustin Fay jumped out to an early lead on the course, which started on the ninth hole of the Santa Clarita golf course. Fay led the pack for a significant part of the race but finished as the second Bruin runner and tenth overall (24:58). The Bruins combined for a team score of 58 points, 25 points behind winner Northern Arizona (23 pts.).

Finishing behind the Bruins in third place was Arizona State (66 pts.) followed by Cal Poly (87 pts.) in fourth.

For the women, sophomore Bronte Golick was the Bruins' top finisher (17:59) and finished tenth overall. Sophomore Annie Mooney also put on a strong performance Friday finishing 12th overall (18:02).
