
Bruins Fall to Ninth at ASU Invitational

The sixth-ranked UCLA women's golf team fell out of first place following Saturday's second round at the ASU Invitational at the Karsten GC in Tempe, AZ.
The Bruins posted a team score of 302 (+14) and dropped into ninth place after 36 holes, 18 shots behind first place Duke, which led the field at 13-under par 563. Alabama was second at 568 (-8), followed by USC and Stanford in a tie for third at 571 (-5). In a tie for fifth place were Arizona and Arizona State at 572 (-4).
Senior Tiffany Lua and sophomore Erynne Lee were tied for 16th place at 143 (-1) after they both posted scores in the second round of 74 (+2). Junior Ani Gulugian was tied for 25th place at even par 144 following her round of 76 (+4). Freshman Louise Ridderstrom was tied for 66th at 153 (+9) after a round of 78 (+6) and senior Lee Lopez was tied for 69th place at 154 (+10).
Duke's Laetitia Beck and Alabama's Emma Talley were co-leaders after two rounds at seven-under par 137.
