2002-03 - In cross country, McBain ran for the Bruins at the Pac-10 (47th, 22:38) ... Breakthrough outdoor track season, she placed sixth (10:52.22) in the Pac-10 3000m steeplechase and her personal-best mark of 10:36.06 is a school record ... McBain also ran a team-leading 16:48.27 5000m ... Honorable Mention Academic All-Pac-10 in both cross country and outdoor track and earned MPSF All-Academic in indoor track ... Her great uncle, Carl McBain, competed in track & field at UCLA in the 1940s and is in the Bruin Hall of Fame, along with his wife, Bette ... They have endowed four Bruin athletic scholarships (football, women's basketball, men's track, women's golf).
2001-02 - Redshirt in both cross country and track.
2000-01 - In track, ran bests of 4:36.47 (1500m), 10:11.41 (3000m) and 11:20.99 (3000m steeplechase).
CC- At Moorpark CA College from 8/99-6/00, McBain ran bests of 4:40 (1500m), 2:20 (800m) and 10:45 (3000m) ... She won the State CC 1500m title and her team place second.
High School - At Thousand Oaks HS, McBain was a soccer, cross country and track standout ... Her prep bests were 2:28 (800m), 5:19 (1600m), 11:53 (3200m), 17:58 (three miles) and 19:14 (5K) ... In 1998, she earned first-team All County honors as team captain and Thousand Oaks placed sixth in the State in Div. I.
