No. 2 Bruins Win Two at UCSB Invite

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The second-ranked UCLA women's water polo team won both its games at the UCSB Winter Invitational on Saturday. The Bruins downed seventh-ranked Hawai'i, 13-8, before handing No. 14 UCSB an 8-5 loss.
Senior India Forster netted a team-high five goals on the day. Sophomore Devin Grab led the Bruins with three goals in the game against Hawai'i. Forster, sophomore Grace Reego, and junior Alexa Tielmann each contributed two goals, while four Bruins—Ashley Zwirner, Mackenzie Barr, Charlotte Pratt, and Aubrie Monahan—notched one goal apiece.
In UCLA's second game of the day, Forster registered a hat trick against the Gauchos while Tielmann netted two. Barr, Pratt, and junior Kelsey O'Brien found the back of the net as well.
The Bruins (2-0) face No. 17 Long Beach State Sunday morning at 10:00, followed by twelfth-ranked Michigan at 2:30 p.m.
