IRVINE, Calif. – Six different Bruins found the back of the net in second-ranked UCLA's 11-6 win over ninth-ranked UC Irvine on Friday evening.   With the win, the Bruins improve to 8-1 on the season.

UCLA came out firing on all cylinders, netting six goals in the first quarter.  Charlotte Pratt opened fire for the Bruins, putting the first point on the board at the 6:23 mark.  The Anteaters quickly responded to even the score at 1-1.  Mackenzie Barr put the Bruins back on top with a power-play goal.  Shortly after, Irvine capitalized on a penalty committed by Pratt and registered what would be its last goal of the half.  UCLA then extended its lead to 6-2 with a barrage of goals by Devin Grab, Lizette Rozeboom, Pratt, and Alexa Tielmann

The Bruins tallied two more while holding the Anteaters scoreless in the second quarter to close out the first half with an 8-2 lead.  Senior goalkeeper Alex Musselman stopped eight shots throughout the half.

Momentum slowed in the second half as Irvine netted the lone goals of the third quarter, cutting the deficit to four.  India Forster ended the Bruins' scoring drought with 5:36 left on the clock.  The Anteaters retaliated with two goals of their own to come within three.  UCLA wrapped up the game with another two goals, the final point coming from Rozeboom with 18 seconds remaining.  As time expired, the Bruins secured an 11-6 win.
