
UCLA DMR Record Goes Down on Saturday

NOTRE DAME – A school record fell on Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational. The men's distance medley relay smashed the old school mark in the Loftus Sports Center on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.
The quartet of Ferdinand Edman, Joe Herrera, Nick Hartle and Austin O'Neil clocked a 9:29.61, surpassing the old mark of 9:31.07 set in 2010. After the conclusion of the meet the DMR currently ranks eighth in the country.
In other action at the meet freshman Arturo Sotomayor ran a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:08.34.
UCLA will move into postseason mode at the MPSF Championships that will begin next week on Friday, Feb. 26 in the Dempsey Indoor Facility on the campus of the University of Washington.
