
UCLA Places Three in Shot Put Top 12

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UCLA shot put trio all placed in the top 12 at the NCAA Indoor Championships, Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Senior Nicholas Scarvelis paced the Bruins in the shot put with a sixth place finish. Scarvelis posted his best placing at a NCAA meet with a mark of 64-1.25.
Sophomore Braheme Days just missed the finals in his first career NCAA Championship meet as he placed 10th with a throw of 61-6.75. Freshman Dotun Ogundeji, who entered the meet with the 16th best throw was 12th with a mark of 61-2.75.
UCLA will open the outdoor season when it hosts Arizona and Washington State at the Jim Bush Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday, March 22. The meet will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.
