Busy Bruins Head to Oklahoma for The Maxwell

EDMOND, Okla. - Playing their third tournament in as many weekends, the Bruins head to Oak Tree Country Club East Course for The Maxwell. The event will be a two-day, 54-hole tournament on the par-70, 7,102-yard course.

The scoring fivesome for the Bruins will be juniors Tyler Collier and Corey Shaun, sophomores Cole Madey and Patrick Murphy and freshman Hidetoshi Yoshihara. Friday's action will consist of 36 holes and a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT/6:30 a.m. PT. The UCLA fivesome will play in the same group and start on the third hole. Saturday's action will also be a shotgun start, beginning at 9 a.m. CT/7 a.m. PT. Live scoring will be available here.

Friday's rounds will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Southwest and Fox College Sports Pacific from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. PT.

Joining the Bruins and co-hosts #5 Oklahoma State and #13 Oklahoma are #1 Baylor, #24 Colorado, #46 New Mexico, #48 Augusta, East Carolina, Liberty, Memphis, North Texas, SMU, UTSA and Wichita State.

UCLA is coming off a ninth-place finish at the Western Intercollegiate (April 8-9). The Maxwell will be the Bruins' seventh spring tournament, with their best finish being seventh-place showings at the Arizona Intercollegiate (Jan. 23-24) and the Amer Ari Invitational (Feb. 2-4).

Yoshihara leads the Bruins in scoring average at 72.0. He has a pair of Top 5 finishes this spring, placing fourth at The Hayt (Feb. 24-26) and T-5 at the Lamkin San Diego Classic (March 13-14). He has three Top 10s and nine under-par rounds.

Madey is second in scoring average at 72.5, coming off a T-16 finish at the Western. The sophomore was 10 shots better from his second to final rounds, closing with a 5-under 65 to tie a career-low round. Madey has two Top 10s and five Top 20s on the season, recording nine under-par rounds. 

Collier is third in scoring average at 72.8. His best showing in the spring was a T-7 at The Hayt. Collier has two Top 10s on the season, four Top 20s and five under-par rounds.

Shaun holds a 74.6 scoring average, as he also tied for 16th at the Western. It was a season-best finish for the junior, who has three under-par rounds this spring

Murphy has a scoring average of 76.5, tying for 16th as an individual at the Arizona Medalist Intercollegiate for a season-best finish. His best round of the year was a 69 at the Marquette Intercollegiate (Oct. 2-3).
