LOS ANGELES โ The UCLA track and field team will travel to San Diego for the UCSD Triton Invitational, a two-day meet beginning on Friday, April 21.

UCLA is coming off strong showings at the Jim Bush Collegiate Invite at Drake Stadium and Mt. SAC Relays this past weekend, with several Bruins claiming top-25 collegiate marks. Sophomore Rai Benjamin still holds his 50.12 in the grueling 400-meter hurdles to put him eighth in the country while junior Misana Viltz took home a season-best time of 13.95 in the 110-meter hurdles to solidify his spot at 22nd in the nation.
ย
At Mt. SAC, junior Daniel De La Torre ran a lifetime best time of 13:46.14 in the 5000-meters that catapulted him to fifth in UCLA history and ninth in the country this year. Senior Austin O'Neil's time of 8:44.86 in the 3000-meter steeplechase from the UCLA Legends Invite is holding strong at sixth in the country.
ย
UCLA's high jumpers are still going strong, as freshman Mikella Lefebvre-Oatis's clearance of 6-0.75 is still good for the third best mark in the country this year while freshman Isaiah Holmes and sophomore Michael Burke are still tied for sixth nationally, with their marks of 7-2.50.
ย
Following the Triton Invite, the Bruins will be back in action for the much anticipated dual meet against USC on Sunday, April 30. The meet will be at the Loker Track Stadium on the campus of USC.
