Bruins Finish T-5th at Stanford Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 7 UCLA women's golf team tied for fifth (+6, 858) in a highly-competitive, 19-team field at the Stanford Intercollegiate after shooting 10-over 294 in the third round Sunday.
No. 11 USC was the champion at 9-under 843, seven strokes ahead of runner-up No. 22 Northwestern (-2). They were the only two squads to shoot under par over the 54 holes. Trojan Catherine Park earned medalist honors (-7).
Zoe Antoinette Campos and Tiffany Le were the Bruins' top two finishers, both tying for 14th at even par for the tournament. Campos, who entered the final round one stroke back of the lead, shot 5-over 76 today. The Valencia, Calif. native opened the tournament with a career-low, 6-under 65 in round one on Friday.
Le shot a 2-over 73 in her final round. She birdied three holes after recording two double bogeys on the front nine.
Redshirt junior Alessia Nobilio, who competed as an individual, also tied for 14th. She recorded an eagle on the par-5 1st and birdied three other holes to sign off on a 2-under 69.
Senior Kate Villegas was the only Bruin in the rotation to shoot under par on day three, finishing with a bogey-free, 1-under 70. Her lone birdie came on the par-5 12th.
Meghan Royal tied for 42nd (+5) and Caroline Canales tied for 69th (+12).
With today's result, UCLA concludes the fall portion of its 2023-24 schedule and will resume the season on Jan. 22, 2024 at The Match in the Desert in Gold Canyon, Ariz.
