SEATTLE โ€“ The UCLA women's volleyball team registered its second victory over a ranked opponent when it won three consecutive sets to take down No. 24 Washington on Wednesday night inside Alaska Airlines Arena.

ย
Collecting 50+ assists for the third consecutive match was graduate setter Audrey Pak, handing out 51 on Wednesday night, while libero Peyton Dueck impressed defensively with 18 digs.
ย
UCLA fell behind early in the opening set due to two consecutive 4-0 scoring runs by the hosts. Leverette established an offensive rhythm with Pak to contribute five kills in her hot start to the contest. The set was highly competitive, with both teams exchanging points until it reached deuce. A. Dodson's kill gave the Bruins their first lead, but the hosts rallied to win the set 27-25, hitting at a .297 percentage. UCLA's efforts were hindered by seven attack errors and four service errors in the first set.
ย
The second set reached deuce in another thrilling affair. The Bruins established an early lead with A. Dodson's back-to-back kills. A. Dodson started to take control, recording five kills, including the set point, and two blocks. Washington responded with a 4-0 run to tie the score at 11-11, but Briscoe's solo block provided a crucial side out. For the second straight set, the two sides traded points in the closing stages. With the score tied at 23-23, Olson's attack was initially ruled out, but head coach Alfee Reft won a critical challenge to bring the Bruins to set point. The hosts saved the first set point, but A. Dodson secured the set win with her fifth kill of the frame to tie the match. The Bruins improved their efficiency, hitting .368 with just three attack errors.
ย
Washington jumped out an early 5-1 lead in the third frame, but Olson's three consecutive aces ignited a 6-0 run for UCLA. Olsonย exploded in the third set, contributing 9.5 points with six kills, three aces, and a block assist. Despite the Huskies narrowing the gap to 23-21, the Bruins secured a 25-22 victory in the third set after an efficient offensive display (.345).

ย

Leverette, Briscoe, and Olson combined for three consecutive kills, and Horne contributed with a block to further extend UCLA's lead. However, the hosts mounted a final 6-0 run to tie the score at 23-23. The Bruins showed their resilience and secured the last two points to defeat the nationally-ranked Huskies on the road following their 25-23 win in the last set.
