Bruins Prepare for Pepperdine Tuesday

LOS ANGELES – UCLA Women's Basketball (2-0, 0-0 Big Ten) takes on Pepperdine University (1-1, 0-0 WCC) on Tuesday in the Bruins' annual Field Trip Day.
The Bruins look to build momentum after Sunday's win over Colgate; UCLA has started the 2024-25 campaign with two-consecutive victories. The Bruins have won six-consecutive season openers.

LAST TIME OUT: W, 81-63 vs. Colgate (Nov. 10)
• Junior Lauren Betts poured in a career-high 31 points in Sunday's home-opening win over the Colgate Raiders, shooting 15-for-18 on the night (.833 FG%). The center had nine rebounds, three blocks and a steal in the victory.
• Four Bruins were in double figures; Betts was joined by freshman Elina Aarnisalo (19 points, 8-of-10 FG) and juniors Londynn Jones (12 points) and Timea Gardiner (10 points) in double-digit scoring.
MATCHUP HISTORY: UCLA vs. Pepperdine
• UCLA boasts a 17-3 advantage in the all-time series against Pepperdine. The Bruins and Waves last met in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom on Nov. 10, 2021, with UCLA claiming its fourth-consecutive win (78-69).

DUGALIĆ AT THE 2025 EUROBASKET QUALIFIERS
• Graduate forward Angela Dugalic returns from a weekend abroad with Team Serbia, earning two wins in two starts at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket Qualifiers 2025.
• Dugalic scored nine points and grabbed eight boards in the opening match Thursday, downing Portugal 71-37. She had three steals in the win, and five total on the weekend. The Serbian forward was in the starting lineup for the second-consecutive game in Sunday's win over Ukraine; Dugalic put in seven points (3-for-6 FG) and snagged a trio of boards in the 26-point victory.
• Serbia is now 4-0 in group play, with the first two wins coming in November 2023 against North Macedonia and Ukraine. The team finishes group play Feb. 6-9, taking on North Macedonia and Portugal.
