KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii – The No. 3 UCLA women's golf team shot 11-under 865 to win the Nanea Pac-12 Preview at Nanea Golf Club on Wednesday. Zoe Antoinette Campos led a trio of Bruins in the top 10, earning medalist honors for the third time in her collegiate career at 8-under (71-70-70).
The Bruins shot the lowest scores of the tournament in rounds two and three after trailing by eight strokes at the end of the first round.
This marks the third time UCLA has won the Nanea Pac-12 Preview (2016 and 2015) and the third time a Bruin has medaled at the event (Alison Lee in 2014 and Bronte Law in 2013).
Campos recorded five birdies in her final round. Joining Campos in the top 10 were Kate Villegas (73-73-69), who tied for fourth at 4-under, and Caroline Canales, who placed ninth at 2-under (70-71-76). Villegas recorded a slam dunk hole-in-one on the par-3 11th in the third round.
Meghan Royal tied for 21st at 4-over (75-75-73) and Natalie Vo tied for 38th at 10-over (76-74-79).
The Bruins' next competition is at The Show at Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas, Nev. The tournament begins March 4.
