No. 4 Women’s Golf Concludes Therese Hession Regional Challenge

PALOS VERDES, Calif. – The No. 4 UCLA women's golf team won one match against Baylor and lost two matches to No. 10 Florida and No. 5 USC at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club over the weekend. The remainder of the tournament was canceled due to rain on Monday, Feb. 5.
 
The event was originally scheduled for a 54-hole stroke play tournament from Sunday, Feb. 4 through Tuesday, Feb. 6. In order to avoid inclement weather, the Therese Hession Regional Challenge was switched to a match play format, beginning Saturday, Feb. 3.
 
UCLA defeated Baylor, 4-1, in its first match on Saturday and lost to Florida in the afternoon, 3-2. The Bruins' match against the Gators was cut short due to darkness. UCLA lost to USC, 2-2-1, in a tiebreaker. The Trojans won four more holes than the Bruins. The complete results are listed below.
