Ereño, Morales Place Top 10 at The Goodwin

SAN FRANCISCO – The UCLA men's golf team placed ninth out of 31 teams with a score of 12-over 852 at The Goodwin at TPC Harding Park on Saturday. The Bruins placed ahead of two top-25 teams (No. 20 California and No. 24 Oregon).
Juniors Pablo Ereño and Omar Morales led UCLA's lineup with two top-10 finishes. Ereño, who tied for sixth at 2-under (70-68-70), posted his third straight top-10 mark. Ereño was bogey-free in his 2-under 68 round on Friday.
Georgia won the team title and was the lone program to shoot under par over the three days of competition (-1, 839). Utah's Braxton Watts claimed individual medalist honors (-5).
Morales placed 10th at 1-under (69-71-69). The Puebla, Mexico native now has a team-high five top-10 placements this season.
UCLA's three remaining competitors placed outside the top 80 in a field of 168 golfers.
