PHOENIX – Zoe Antoinette Campos on the No. 3 UCLA women's golf team won her third medal of the season and the fifth of her collegiate career at the PING/ASU Invitational on Saturday with a score of 9-under (69-70-68).
The Bruins shot the second-lowest team score in the third round with a 7-under 281 to move up five spots and finish in a three-way tie for second place (-8). Campos earned co-champion honors with New Mexico State's Emma Bunch. This marks the seventh time a Bruin has medaled at the PING/ASU Invitational. Campos is the sixth Bruin to hoist the trophy and the first since Bethany Wu (2019).
Campos saved her best round for last with a bogey-free 4-under 68 on Saturday. The Valencia, Calif. native recorded only two bogeys over the 54 holes, both of which came in the first round. Campos is now tied with WGCA Hall of Famer Charlotte Mayorkas (2001-05) for fifth on UCLA's career wins list with five. Campos' three wins in 2023-24 are tied for second most in a single season in UCLA history.
After this week's tournament, Campos has now recorded 16 rounds under par which are tied for seventh most in a single season by a Bruins' golfer. The UCLA single-season record for rounds under par is 20 set by Lilia Vu, Bronte Law and Alison Lee.
Joining Campos in the top 10 was Kate Villegas who tied for ninth at 3-under (71-69-73). Villegas has recorded three top-10 finishes this season. Caroline Canales tied for 21st at 2-over (72-70-74).
