UCLA Places Top-Five in Both Races at 2025 Bill Dellinger Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. โ The UCLA cross country team participated in its second major race of the season on Friday, with the women placing fourth and the men placing fifth in an 11-team field at the Bill Dellinger Invitational hosted by Oregon at the Pine Ridge Golf Club.
Senior Annika Salz paced the Bruin women in the 6k, setting a PR at 20:39.66 to finish 12th. Sophomore Olivia Foody (20:45.49) wasn't far behind to place 15th, and sophomore Ailish Hawkins set a PR of her own at 20:51.95 (16th) to join her teammates in the top-20.
UCLA's scoring group on the women's side was rounded out by freshmen Evie Marheineke (21:15.03, 28th) and Gabriella Peters (21:23.74, 35th).
As a team, the UCLA women finished with 99 points. Oregon (16 points) won the race with each of the top-four finishers. The rest of the top five included Air Force (72), Oregon State (87), and California (148).
Sophomore Kai Mitchell-Reiss led the Bruin men for the second time in as many outings this season, earning a 17th place result at 23:49.85. Redshirt freshman Andreas Dybahl (23:59.50, 22nd) also placed inside the top-25.
Similar to the women's side, Oregon won the men's race after placing each of the top-four finishers. Oregon and UCLA (135 points) were joined in the top-five by Air Force (50), Weber State (103), and UC Davis (120).
The Bruins' full roster is next in action at the 2025 Big Ten Championships on Friday, Oct. 31 in East Lansing, Mich.
