Berger Selected UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week Presented by La Victoria

LOS ANGELES โ Redshirt-senior Jalen Berger of UCLA Football has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week presented by La Victoria for athletic competitions held between Oct. 7-13.

Berger turned in his finest performance to date as a Bruin to lead UCLA to a dominant 38-13 win at Michigan State on Saturday. He totaled three touchdowns (two receiving, one rushing) to go along with 107 yards of total offense. The veteran back had a team-high 83 rushing yards and 24 receiving. His standout outing came against his former team; Berger transferred to UCLA from MSU after the 2023 campaign. His first-quarter 16-yard rushing TD gave UCLA the lead for good at 10-7, and his next score โ a 3-yard TD catch โ ultimately served as the game winner. UCLA scored 38 unanswered points against the Spartans, the program's most against an FBS opponent since 2015. Berger became the first Bruin back with multiple receiving touchdowns since 2020. It was Berger's best performance since a 119-yard outing in 2022 while still at Michigan State.
