
No. 23 Swim and Dive Opens 2025-26 Season at USC Invitational Friday

LOS ANGELES - The No. 23 UCLA swimming and diving program opens its 2025-26 regular season this weekend, heading across town for the USC Invitational on Friday and Saturday.ย
The four-team invitational opens on Friday, Oct. 10, with the morning swimming session at 9:00 a.m. and diving events at 12:00 p.m., followed by a 1:00 p.m. swim second session. The squads will return to the Uytengsu Aquatics Center for a third session at 9:00 a.m. and a second dive session at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11.ย
All three sessions of the swim competition will be streamed on the B1G+ (Big Ten Plus) ($). In addition, live results for swimming will be available through the Meet Mobile app ($), while results for diving will be available on DiveMeets.com.
Scheduled events for the Friday morning session include the 400 medley relay, 500 free, 100 back, 200 IM, and 50 free.ย
Friday's divingย session will feature the women's 3-meter diving competition.
The Friday afternoon swim session will begin at 1 pm, and the events include the 200 free relay, 400 IM, 100 fly, and 100 breast.ย
Saturday's morning swim session is set to include the 200 medley relay, 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, and 400 free relay.
The final session will conclude with the women's 1-meter diving.
Besides UCLA and the host No. 12 USC, the invitational field is rounded out by No. 9 Indiana and No. 25 Texas A&M.ย
UCLA returns to the pool fresh off another strong season in 2024-25. During the 2024-25 campaign, UCLA had six individual student-athletes qualify for the NCAA Championships, along with four relay squads. At the NCAA Championships, Eden Cheng earned NCAA All-American Honorable Mention status for the third consecutive year on platform, highlighting the Bruins' performance at the national meet. Karolina Piechowicz and Claudia Yovanovich were both named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team, where the Bruins placed seventh as a squad in their inaugural Big Ten Championships appearance. UCLA also set four new school records in 2024-25, as Karolina Piechowicz set a school record in the 100 breast, while three relays had their school records broken (200 free, 200 medley, 400 medley).ย ย
