No. 19 UCLA Rolls Past Presbyterian, 86-46

November 21, 2025 | Men's Basketball

LOS ANGELES โ€“ย The No. 19-ranked UCLA men's basketball team delivered an electrifying offensive performance in an 86-46 nonconference victory over Presbyterian on Friday evening inside Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom Financial.
ย
UCLA (5-1) shot a blistering 62.7 percent from the field, marking its highest single-game shooting percentage under head coach Mick Cronin. The Bruins eclipsed their previous best of 62.1 percent, set last season on Jan. 17, 2025. UCLA finished 32-for-51 overall and connected on 6-of-12 attempts from three-point range.

"We had 42 deflections tonight and I thought the last couple games our team attitude has been something I could be proud of," Cronin said.ย "It's amazing how guys play better when they have the right attitude and the right approach to the game...We really did our best defensive job on the back board. We played the first 13 minutes of the second half with no turnovers. It was also the highest shooting percentage in a game of the last seven years of coaching."
ย
Skyy Clark led the way with a season-high 22 points, his most in a UCLA uniform and the seventh 20-point game of his career. Clark converted 9-of-11 shots from the floor, including 1-of-2 from beyond the arc, and was perfect on three free throw attempts.
ย
Donovan Dent added 14 points and a team-best seven assists, while Brandon Williams scored 11 points and secured a game-high seven rebounds.
ย
Xavier Booker, Trent Perry, and Jamar Brown each chipped in nine points, and Eric Dailey Jr. finished with seven. In total, nine of the 12 Bruins who saw action contributed to the scoring column.
ย
Presbyterian (3-5) was led by Jonah Pierce with 13 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Triston Wilson added nine points.
ย
The Bruins enjoyed a blistering start to the contest by shooting 66.7 percent in the first half, making 16 of 24 attempts, and built a 41-18 advantage at the break. Clark scored 14 points before halftime, hitting six of his eight first-half shots.ย
ย
UCLA opened the contest on a 12-4 run, fueled by Clark's perfect 3-for-3 start, including a three-point play at the rim. Back-to-back three-pointers from Brown and Williams extended the margin to 17, and an 8-0 burst capped by dunks from Booker and Brown pushed the lead to 25 points.
ย
Dent set the tone early in the second half with an 'and-one' finish, sparking a 19-2 run that included consecutive layups from Clark and an alley-oop from Dent to Dailey Jr. That surge gave UCLA a 62-28 cushion with 13:13 remaining. The Bruins outscored Presbyterian, 45-24, after halftime, with Dent pacing the offense with nine second-half points.
ย
UCLA will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 25, facing California in a marquee matchup at the Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. (PT), with national television coverage on ESPN.
