Bruins in the NFL: Week 16
December 23, 2025 | Football
Twenty-two former UCLA standouts were in action during Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season, which featured an instant classic between the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. Bruin Zach Charbonnet was at the center of that decision, tallying his ninth rushing touchdown and a much talked about two-point conversion. On the defensive side of the ball, Carson Schwesinger posted 10 or more tackles in his seventh consecutive game and was named a Pro Bowl alternate Tuesday.
• Krys Barnes, LB, Carolina Panthers – Made one tackle on special teams as the Panthers edged Tampa Bay, 23-20, at home on Sunday. Week 17: Sunday vs. Seattle Seahawks – 10 a.m. PT (CBS)
• Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks – Rushed nine times for 32 yards, including a 4-yard touchdown to open the game's scoring midway through the first quarter. He also had one of the most memorable plays in a 38-37, instant-classic win over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football, as he scored a game-tying two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter to help the Seahawks complete a 16-point comeback and send the game to overtime. On the play, Seattle QB Sam Darnold made a pass to Charbonnet in the backfield that was batted down for an apparent incompletion; however, a lengthy video review determined it was a backwards pass and thus a fumble when it hit the ground, meaning Charbonnet's casual retrieval of the ball on the goal line was instead a game-tying fumble recovery.
