LOS ANGELES – Five Bruins --- Cooper Robinson, Zach Rama, Andrew Rowan, Cameron Thorne, and Sean Kelly --- received All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) honors in an announcement on Tuesday by the league office following a vote by the MPSF coaches.

Robinson, Rama, Rowan and Thorne were all voted All-MPSF first team selections, while freshman Sean Kelly earned a spot on the honorable mention All-MPSF squad and the All-Freshman team.

Cooper Robinson was named the 2025 MPSF Player of the Year, becoming UCLA's seventh MPSF Player of the Year recipient, and third in the last four years (Merrick McHenry, 2024; Miles Partain, 2022; Brandon Taliaferro, 2000; Stein Metzger, 1996; Jeff Nygaard, 1995 & '94).

Robinson, a redshirt junior outside hitter from Pacific Palisades, California, ranks in the MPSF's top seven in four categories entering the postseason. He is fifth with 3.58 kills per set, sixth with 4.25 points per set, and seventh in both aces per set (0.36) and hitting percentage (.389), while the Bruins hit an MPSF-best .367 in the regular season. Robinson won two MPSF/Molten Offensive Player of the Week awards this year on March 10 and 31. His most recent conference honor came after he hit .443 with 4.71 kills per set through two MPSF wins over Pepperdine. Robinson's first weekly award was following a 31-kill series with a .491 clip in another two-match top-10 MPSF series win over Stanford. In the final home match of the year (Apr. 17), he put away a career-high and 2025 MPSF second-most 25 kills with a .537 hitting percentage in a win over No. 5 USC. He produced 18 double-digit kill matches in the regular season.

A two-time all-conference selection, Robinson also earned MPSF second team honors in 2024. On the year, Robinson has recorded a total of 319 kills, hit .389 and tallied 32 service aces. He ranks 12th nationally in hitting percentage, and is second nationally in hitting percentage amongst players with at least 300 kills on the season.

Setter Andrew Rowan earns his third consecutive All-MPSF first team honors in 2025, after being named to the All-MPSF first team in 2023 and 2024. The junior from Trabuco Canyon, California, directed the Bruins offense to an MPSF-leading .368 hitting percentage, which was also second nationally. Rowan totaled 40 or more assists across 13 matches in 2025 and led the team to a hitting percentage of over .350 in 15 matches. He also paced the Bruins offense to a .400 or better hitting percentage in eight different matches, including a season-high .479 hitting percentage in UCLA's four-set win over BYU on April 12.  Individually, Rowan amassed 846 assists and averaged 10.07 assists per set through the 2025 regular season and also added 28 service aces (0.33 per set), and 37 kills.

Outside Hitter/Opposite Zach Rama was named to the All-MPSF first team as well. This marks Rama's second all-conference honors after the junior was named to the MPSF All-Freshman team in 2023. In 2025, Rama totaled 276 kills and hit .323 on the season. The Phoenix, Arizona, native tallied at least 10 kills in 17 matches played, and recorded a career-high 21 kills in UCLA's match against Ohio State at the First Point Collegiate Challenge in Austin, Texas, on January 18. Rama earned 15 or more kills in seven matches, including three of his last four in MPSF play, where he recorded 18 kills in a five-set win over BYU, 19 kills in a five-set win over USC, and 18 two nights later at USC.

Middle Blocker Cameron Thorne was also named to the All-MPSF first team. A transfer from GCU, this is Thorne's second career All-MPSF honors after earning second-team honors in 2024 while at GCU. Thorne recorded the highest hitting percentage of any player in the conference in 2025, finishing with a hitting percentage of .521. The Hollywood, Florida, native recorded 176 kills, and also finished second in the conference in blocks by averaging 1.06 blocks per set. Thorne finished with 94 blocks across 89 sets played, including 11 solo blocks.

Freshman outside hitter Sean Kelly rounded out UCLA's honorees. The Manhattan Beach native was named to both the MPSF honorable mention squad and the All-Freshman team. Kelly joined the Bruins' starting lineup midway through the year and tallied 103 kills, with the majority of those coming in conference play. The freshman recorded double-digit kills in six matches, including four double-digit kill performances in four of UCLA's last five matches to close out the regular season. Kelly held a .308 hitting percentage on the year and also added 11 service aces.

The Bruins are back in action on Friday in Malibu, California, to begin the 2025 MPSF conference tournament hosted by Pepperdine University. The Bruins will play in the first semifinal match at 5 pm PT on Friday, April 25, the opponent is TBD. The match will also be broadcast on B1G+.
