Chiles Named UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week

LOS ANGELES โ Junior Jordan Chiles of UCLA Gymnastics has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week for competitions held between April 15-21.

The gymnast won the NCAA uneven bars title with a score of 9.9750 and helped the Bruins earn a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championships, their highest national finish since 2018. Chiles recorded the highest all-around total of the entire championships during the team final, scoring a season-high 39.775. In the semifinal, she finished fifth overall in the all-around with 39.5875, earning first-team All-America honors. She also earned All-America honors on vault and uneven bars. Chiles made history by becoming the first UCLA gymnast to win multiple NCAA uneven bars titles, as she reclaimed the title she won in 2023. The two-time Olympian is now a three-time NCAA individual champion and 16-time All-American. Chiles' national title, along with Brooklyn Moors' floor exercise title, gave UCLA 44 NCAA individual championships, the most in the nation.

Chiles finished her 2025 campaign with a team-high 29 event victories, including 11 on floor exercise and seven on uneven bars. She averaged 39.505 in the all-around while posting six wins, and she led all Bruins with 22 scores of 9.950 or higher and 38 scores of 9.900 or higher in 2025.
