ROSEMONT, Ill. โ€“ Three members of the UCLA women's tennis team were honored Wednesday by the Big Ten Conference, which announced its postseason honors as voted on by the league's head coaches. Individual award winners, All-Big Ten and All-Freshman selections and Sportsmanship Honorees were named.

Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer was voted a member of the All-Big Ten First Team. Kate Fakih and Kimmi Hance were tabbed Second-Teamers. Fakih was a unanimous pick to the All-Freshman Team. Hance was selected the Bruins' Sportsmanship Honoree.

Lutkemeyer was deemed a Big Ten Player to Watch entering dual-match play and she has lived up to the billing, going 13-4 in dual-match singles play and 15-4 on the doubles courts. She spent the entirety of Big Ten play on the top singles court, going 6-2 in those matches. Lutkemeyer has also gone 7-2 versus nationally-ranked opponents in dual-match competition, with her standout performance coming in UCLA's 4-3 triumph over No. 19 Wisconsin on April 5. With the Bruins trailing 3-2, Lutkemeyer took down No. 5 Maria Sholokhova 7-5, 7-5 to set up teammate Fakih for the deciding win. Lutkemeyer rose to a career-best No. 16 in the ITA singles rankings on March 5.

Fakih's three-set victory against Wisconsin's Tianna Rangan on Court 4 was one of the freshman's team-high six clinchers. Fakih also notably secured a 4-2 decision over No. 16 USC on April 16, handing Lily Fairclough a 7-6(5), 6-4 defeat. Fakih led UCLA during the regular season with a 14-3 record. She ran off nine singles wins in a row to start her dual-match career. Fakih also logged a 14-4 dual-match doubles mark alongside fellow freshman Olivia Center. The pair, which made a run to the NCAA doubles championship match during the fall and rose to No. 2 in the ITA doubles rankings, clinched nine doubles points to pace the Bruins. Fakih received a conference-best five Big Ten Freshman of the Week awards.

Hance ended the regular season on a four-match singles winning streak. Among those victories was a 6-4, 6-2 result over No. 58 Emma Charney of USC on Court 2. Hance was named Big Ten Player of the Week Tuesday. She knocked off Charney twice during dual-match play and also bested No. 16 Savannah Broadus of Pepperdine 6-4, 6-4 in a top-court showdown on Feb. 26. On the doubles side, Hance and partner Elise Wagle clinched the initial point six times. The pair ended its regular season on a six-match winning streak and beat No. 10 Fairclough and Grace Piper of USC by a 6-4 count on Court 1. Hance/Wagle went 9-3 on the top doubles court in dual-match competition.
