No. 10 Men's Golf Prepares for Calusa Cup in Florida

LOS ANGELES – The No. 10-ranked UCLA men's golf team will compete at the Calusa Cup starting this Sunday, April 6, hosted by the University of Iowa at Calusa Pines Golf Club in Naples, Fla.
The three-day competition runs from Sunday, April 6, through Tuesday, April 8.
Five of the tournament's nine competitors, including UCLA, are ranked among the top 25 in this week's Scoreboard by Clippd rankings (full rankings here). The Bruins have risen to the No. 10 slot in the latest top 25 rankings. The four other ranked opponents in this tournament include No. 4 LSU, No. 8 Virginia and No. 12 Florida. Louisville, Miami of Ohio and Purdue round out the list of nine competitors.
The three-day tournament in Naples, Fla., will include 18 holes being played each day.
The Calusa Cup will mark UCLA's fifth competition in the spring season. Most recently, UCLA won the tournament title last weekend at The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford University (at Stanford Golf Course). Seniors Omar Morales and Pablo Ereño tied for a sixth-place finish in a competition that included 30 teams. Ereño and Morales shot 4-under 206 through the three-day tournament at Stanford. Ereño carded 5-under 65 on Sunday to move into a tie for sixth place.
UCLA's lineup this week will include two seniors, with Ereño and Morales, along with junior Kyle An, sophomore Luke Powell and freshman Baylor Larrabee. Each of those five UCLA golfers competed last week at The Goodwin.

Tournament Schedule: The three-day tournament begins on Sunday, April 6, with first-round tee times scheduled between 11:45 a.m. and 2:05 p.m. (ET). The second round will take place on Monday, April 6, with tee times set for the same time period, while the tournament's third round will begin on Tuesday, April 7, as early as 8 a.m. (ET) from the first and 10th holes. The tournament's practice round is set for Saturday, April 5.
