Big Ten Spring Academic Honor Roll Includes 161 Bruins

LOS ANGELES โ This spring, 161 UCLA student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten team, the Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday. The sports included are baseball, beach volleyball, men's and women's golf, rowing, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, men's volleyball, and men's and women's water polo.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team (as verified by being on the official squad list as of May 1 for spring sports), have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
The UCLA rowing program had 33 student-athletes recognized, women's track and field had 20, while women's water polo added 18 honorees and beach volleyball had 17 make the gradesย to lead the way for the Bruins.
