No. 18 Women's Tennis Deals Ducks 4-1 Defeat

LOS ANGELES โ The 18th-ranked UCLA women's tennis defeated Oregon 4-1 in Big Ten Conference action Friday at Los Angeles Tennis Center. The match was UCLA's first at home since March 15.
Mayu Crossley, Ahmani Guichard and Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer each won twice for the Bruins (10-6, 4-4 Big Ten). Guichard clinched the team triumph. The Ducks (11-9, 2-6) were put on the scoreboard by Bridget Mihulka, who cut the deficit to 3-1. Each singles contest was completed in straight sets.
UCLA made quick work of doubles play, surrendering just three games across the two completed matches. There were near simultaneous finishes, starting when Kayla Chung/Ahmani Guichard beat Mihulka/Virginia Crocker 6-2 on Court 3. Crossley/Lutkemeyer then earned its fourth win in as many chances, topping Hinata Furutani/Juliet Santitto 6-1 on Court 2 to clinch the first point.
UCLA picked up five singles first sets. Most dominant was No. 17 Lutkemeyer, who ultimately rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory against Tilde Jagare on Court 1.
No. 41 Crossley logged her fifth consecutive singles victory in as many tries, posting a 6-3, 7-6(4) result over Symons on Court 2. Crossley is 12-3 in dual singles competition.
Guichard picked up her fifth career deciding point โ and first of 2026 โ in a 7-6(4), 6-1 display opposite Patsy Daughters on Court 4. When the winning point was delivered, Bruins Olivia Center and Kate Fakih were each up a set in a second-set tiebreaker.
UCLA is back on the LATC courts Sunday, when it takes on Washington in a top-20 matchup. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m. PT.
