No. 22 Men's Tennis Falls to No. 1 Ohio State 4-0

LOS ANGELES โ The 22nd-ranked UCLA men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 1 Ohio State in Big Ten Conference play Friday at Los Angeles Tennis Center. Two of the unfinished matches were in third sets.
Bryce Nakashima was victorious in clinching fashion for the Buckeyes (20-3, 7-1 Big Ten). Nikita Filin and Aidan Kim also won. The Bruins dropped to 12-5 (6-2).
Ohio State nabbed a quick advantage in doubles play, as No. 39 Kim/Nakashima bested Rudy Quan/Bengt Reinhard 6-2 on Court 3. UCLA's Andy Nguyen/Aadarsh Tripathi rebounded from an early deficit on Court 2, but ultimately came up short against the clinching pair of No. 33 Alexander Bernard/Alex Okonkwo in a 6-4 result.
No. 11 Kim beat No. 61 Spencer Johnson 6-3, 6-1 on the top singles court. No. 75 Nikita Filin followed by taking down Tripathi 6-2, 6-3 on Court 5. Nakashima then held off Cassius Chinlund 6-1, 7-6(6) to seal the final point.
The Bruins will look to recover quickly, as they are set to take on Penn State Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. PT.
