Lutkemeyer Earns Third Academic All-America® Honor
June 02, 2026 | Women's Tennis
AUSTIN, Texas – Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer of the UCLA women's tennis team earned an Academic All-America® selection for the third time in as many years Tuesday, it was announced by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Each of her appearances on the prestigious list was as a third-teamer.
Prior to Lutkemeyer, Karen Dewis (third team in 1984 and first team in 1983) was the program's only multiple-time Academic All-America® pick. From 1982-2022, women's tennis Academic All-Americans were recognized as part of the at-large group. Lutkemeyer was previously placed on the CSC Academic All-District Team alongside teammates Olivia Center and Ahmani Guichard.
It was a decorated senior season for Lutkemeyer, who earned one of the highest honors for American players in college tennis as a finalist for the Universal Tennis Foundation Hurd Awards. As part of the award, she receives a $40,000 grant to aid her transition from college to international competition. Lutkemeyer went 13-7 — including 9-5 against nationally-ranked players — exclusively on the top singles court in 2026, climbing to a career-high No. 11 in the ITA rankings. She also went 12-6 in doubles play. Lutkemeyer was twice named Big Ten Player of the Week and ultimately voted unanimously onto the All-Big Ten First Team.
An environmental science major, Lutkemeyer holds a 3.60 cumulative grade-point average. She has accumulated an assortment of academic honors on top of her All-America and All-District acknowledgments. She has been placed on the Big Ten (2025) and Pac-12 (2024) Spring Academic Honor Rolls, was tabbed an ITA Scholar-Athlete (2023) and is a 10-time member of the UCLA Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
