Lutkemeyer Named ITA Southwest Region's Top Senior

TEMPE, Ariz. – Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer of the UCLA women's tennis team was named Southwest Regional Senior Player of the Year Tuesday, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced. She advances to consideration for the national award, which will be revealed June 16.
This is the latest honor for Lutkemeyer, an Irvine, Calif. native who recently completed her senior season. She has also been named a Big Ten Sportsmanship Honoree, received unanimous All-Big Ten First Team recognition and made the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® list for the third time. Additionally, Lutkemeyer was tabbed a Hurd Award finalist.
Lutkemeyer went 13-7 in singles matches in 2026, playing exclusively on Court 1. She was 12-6 in doubles contests, with each of those results coming on Court 2. She racked up nine singles wins against nationally-ranked players, including four consecutive against No. 67 Monika Ekstrand of Stanford, No. 57 Ziva Falkner of Pepperdine, No. 32 Jana Hossam of USC and No. 17 Maria Sholokhova of Wisconsin from Jan. 31-March 6. Lutkemeyer saw her own ITA singles ranking climb to No. 11. She also made it to No. 64 alongside partner Mayu Crossley on the doubles side. The standouts clinched five doubles points as a pair.
