Talite โJRโ Moala enters his first season as executive director of recruiting for the UCLA football program in 2026.

Moala joins head coach Bob Chesneyโs staff after serving as the director of recruiting for two seasons at his alma mater Oregon State from 2024-25. He spent the three previous years in the same role at Oregon from 2021-23.

Moala was also with the Beaversโ program from 2015-17 as a defense quality control coach (2016-17) and defensive intern (2015).

Moalaโs coaching experience also includes serving as a linebackers coach and assistant track and field coach for Hawthorne High School (Calif.) in 2001.

Moala played linebacker at Portland State from 1999-2001 after a two-year LDS mission to Venezuela. He was an All-CIF linebacker at Hawthorne High School in California in 1999. Moala also played fullback at El Camino Junior College in 2004.

A native of Los Angeles, Calif., Moala graduated from Oregon State with a bachelorโs degree in sociology. He and his wife, Robin, have a son named Joseph.
