Jumped in four meets as a true sophomore … Indoor: Notched a fourth-place finish in the high jump at the MPSF Championships, clearing 2.14m (7-00.25) to score for the Bruins … Competed at the USA Indoor Championships against professional jumpers, finishing ninth overall with a clearance of 2.13m (6-11.75) … Won the high jump competition at the New Mexico Team Open with a season-best clearance of 2.18m (7-01.75) … Opened his season with a victory at the UW Preview with a mark of 2.16m (7-01.00).

2019
Competed in nine meets as a true freshman … Top NCAA freshman (outdoor) in the high jump … Indoor: Made his collegiate debut in the high jump at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational, where he finished second with a mark of 2.16m (7-1) … Placed third at the MPSF Indoor Championships at 2.16m (7-1) … Outdoor: Won the high jump at the Jim Bush Legends Invitational with an effort of 2.12m (6-11.5) … Notched another first-place finish at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational at 2.17m (7-1.5) … Dialed in eight points for UCLA at the Pac-12 Championships, finishing second with a clearance of 2.17m (7-1.5) … Finished 10th at the NCAA West Regionals … Made it to Austin in his first year as a Bruin, where he notched a huge PR of 2.21m (7-3) at the NCAA Championships to place sixth, the highest freshman finisher in the event … First Team All-American … UCLA Top-10 Record Books: Outdoor: T-5th – High Jump (2.21m; 7-3) … Honors: Outdoor First Team All-American (high jump).

High School
Graduated from Trabuco Hills High School in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. … Won the state title in the high jump, flying 2.18m (7-7) … Recorded a PR of 2.21m (7-3) his senior season in the high jump at the Mustang Round Up … Set a meet record at the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Finals when he jumped 2.20m (7-2.5) … Jumped seven feet or higher in seven meets in 2018 … Two-time USATF Youth national record holder for age groups 9-10 (1.60m) and 11-12 (1.76m) … Former national record holder for age group 13-14 … Academically, finished in the top 20 of his class with a 4.74 GPA.
 
Personal
Son of Mavis and Ronald Lee … Has one older sister (Samantha) … Hobbies include solving Rubik’s cubes, playing strategy-based games and video games, hanging out with friends (most of who chose UCLA as well) … Chose UCLA to succeed in the high jump and challenge himself in the classroom.
