A four-year letterwinner at Soquel High School on the indoor volleyball team as an outside hitter and liberoย โฆ was a three-year starter and two-time captain โฆ her team finished as the CIF-Central Coast Section Champions in 2021 and placed third at the CIF NorCal Regionals that same yearย โฆ totaled over 1,000 kills and 150 aces in her high school career โฆ played club for MB Sand (Manhattan Beach)ย โฆ won gold in 2024 and silver in 2022 and 2023 at the BVCA National Championships (Open Division)ย โฆ earned AAA CBVA rating in Aug. of 2024 and Sept. of 2025ย โฆ won gold at BVNE Hermosa Beach 16U in 2021ย โฆ took 3rd at AVP Junior Nationals (ages 14 & 16)ย โฆ also took 3rd at AAU National Championships in 2021ย โฆ won gold at AAU National Championships (age 10)ย โฆย was on the JVA Watch List from 2022-25ย โฆย earned the Best in Beach Award in 2023 and invited to the Fab 50 P1440ย โฆ also named to Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 Underclassmen to Watch in 2024ย โฆ has been aย member of the USA Volleyball NTDP and High Performance teams since she was 10 (U13-U19).
Full name: Jesse Dueck โฆ born in Santa Cruz, Calif. โฆ parents are Brian and Katie Dueck โฆ has an older sister, Cameron, and an older brother, Owen โฆ her sister played beach volleyball at Pepperdine while her brother played baseball at Cal Polyย โฆ her cousin, Ella Dueck,ย has committed to Cal Poly for the 2027 Beach Volleyball seasonย while her cousin, Peyton Dueck, played Indoor Volleyball and Beach Volleyball at Cal Poly her freshman year and then played for three seasons on the Indoor team at UCLA and is now a graduate student on the Cal Poly Beach Volleyball team โฆ her cousin, Madison Dueck, played Beach Volleyball at California (2017-20 - Madison, Ella, and Peyton are sisters)ย โฆ says she chose UCLA because, โ... of the elite and experienced coaching staff and the chemistry on the team. I also chose UCLA because it has always been my dream school since I was a little kid, just starting out with volleyball. I have always loved the location and the high level academics and athletics.โ โฆ lists her greatest athletic thrill as, "winning CCS with my high school team andย training with Taylor Crabb because he has always been my biggest role model. The opportunity that I got to train with him and play next to him was so inspiring and a dream come true." โฆ lists Sarah Hughes and Trevor Crabb as the athletes she admires mostย โฆ enjoys going fishing with her brother and father on their boat, taking her dogs on a walk at sunset at the beach, and going surfing with friendsย โฆ majoring in business economics.
