Canady prepped at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco โฆ averaged 4.5 kills and 2.4 digs per set as a senior, adding 34 aces and 23 blocks โฆ was named AVCA High School All-Region, West Catholic Athletic League and Central Coast Section Player of the Year, All-WCAL First Team, All-State First Team โฆ helped the Fightinโ Irish to WCAL and CCS Open titles as a junior and senior โฆ 2018 and 2019 SFAIRC San Francisco Player of the Year and 2018 WCAL All-League Second Team โฆ coached by Margi Beima โฆ played club with Vision Volleyball โฆ was a participant with the USAVB High Performance Training Teams (2015-2018) and at the USAVB Junior National Championships (2013-2019), winning a title in โ15 โฆ PrepVolleyball.com All-State Honorable Mention.

Born Skylar Raquel Canady in Santa Rosa, Calif. โฆ parents are Clarissa and Kevin Canady โฆ has a twin brother, Jackson โฆ chose to attend UCLA because of the great academics, location and amazing volleyball program competing in one of the top conferences โฆ No. 1 reason she competes in volleyball is the teamwork aspect and knowing that her teammates have her back no matter what โฆ things she likes the most about volleyball is how competitive it is and playing in big games where the stands are packed and having to figure out and battle with your physical and mental strength โฆ hobbies include painting her nails, drawing and doodling โฆ biggest athletic thrill was in her junior year when she came back from 0-2 down to beat their rival at the CCS Open Championship โฆ favorites include the television show โLaw and Order: SVUโ, actor Michael B. Jordan, tennis player Serena Williams and singer Rihanna โฆ undeclared social science major.
