Billy Kilmer
- Induction:
- 1984
The last Single-Wing, do-everything tailback to earn All-America honors at UCLA, Bill Kilmer led the Bruins in total offense, passing, and punting in 1959 and 1960. He was a first-round draft choice of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers in 1961. Despite a near-fatal auto accident that kept him out of action for nearly two years, he went on to enjoy a productive 16-year professional career in which he passed for 20,495 yards and 152 touchdowns. He led the Washington Redskins to Super Bowl VII following the 1972 season.
Kilmer was a charter member of the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1984.
