Eight Bruins Receive All-America Recognition

LOS ANGELES - No. 1-ranked UCLA continued its historic 2026 awards season on Thursday, earning one of the largest All-America collections in program history across the Perfect Game and NCBWA teams. The Bruins placed six players on NCBWA All-America squads, including three First Team selections, and added four Perfect Game All-Americans, highlighted by two Freshman All-Americans.

Junior shortstop Roch Cholowsky earned First Team All-America honors from both Perfect Game and the NCBWA after delivering one of the most complete seasons in college baseball. Cholowsky hit .320 with 21 home runs, 60 RBI, and 73 runs scored while anchoring UCLA's infield defense with a .965 fielding percentage. He ranked among the national leaders in OPS (1.088), slugging (.636), and on-base percentage (.452), starting all 60 games at shortstop and establishing himself as one of the premier two-way players in the country.

Outfielder Will Gasparino was named a First Team All-American by the NCBWA and a Third Team All-American by Perfect Game. Gasparino hit .314 with 20 home runs, 64 RBI, and 99 hits, finishing among the conference leaders in extra-base hits and total bases. He also posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 114 putouts, showcasing elite range and arm strength in right field. His combination of power and defense made him one of the most feared hitters in the nation.

Closer Easton Hawk earned First Team NCBWA All-America honors after emerging as one of the most dominant late-inning arms in college baseball. Hawk posted a 1.93 ERA with 14 saves and 52 strikeouts across 34 appearances, holding opponents to a .187 average. He allowed only nine earned runs all season and was central to UCLA's 52-8 record, delivering multiple multi-inning saves against ranked opponents.

Defensively, he was exceptional, committing just one error in 421 chances for a .996 fielding percentage, solidifying his status as one of the nation's top two-way first basemen.

Moss went 5-1 with a 2.49 ERA across 65.0 innings, striking out 76 and holding opponents to a .194 average. His ability to neutralize the middle of opposing lineups in multi-inning, high-leverage situations made him one of the most valuable relievers in the country.

Angel Cervantes turned in a steady and increasingly impactful junior campaign for UCLA to earn Freshman All-American honors from Perfect Gamep, making 19 appearances and 15 starts while posting a 4-1 record and a 4.17 ERA over 49.2 innings. Cervantes delivered several of his best performances in March, highlighted by 3.0 shutout innings with two strikeouts in an 11-1 win over UC Irvine on Mar. 10, earning his first career victory, then following with 2.0 scoreless frames and two strikeouts at UC Irvine on Mar. 31. He struck out four in 1.2 innings against Loyola Marymount on Mar. 24 and logged one of his longest outings of the year on Apr. 28 at UC Santa Barbara, working 5.0 innings of one-run ball with three strikeouts. He recorded a season-high seven strikeouts over 3.0 innings at Washington on May 16 and delivered a pivotal 5.0 shutout innings with five strikeouts in the Big Ten Tournament Championship win over Oregon on May 24.
