Dot Richardson
- Induction:
- 1996
One of the greatest women's softball players ever, Dot Richardson helped the United States to its second consecutive gold medal in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. Richardson has competed in numerous world championships and international competitions, and has been a multiple winner of the American Softball Association's MVP award and an ASA All-America more than a dozen times. Her impact extends beyond the softball field, where the orthopedic surgeon completed four years of medical school, five years of residency and a fellowship with Kerlin and Jobe even as she remained an active softball competitor.
