Women's Tennis Tops Arizona State, 6-3

TEMPE, Ariz. - The 12th-ranked Arizona State women's tennis team (5-5, 0-3 Pac-10) fell to 10th-ranked UCLA (10-3, 3-1 Pac-10) today 6-3 at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
Individually for the Sun Devils, three Sun Devils recorded victories in their respective singles matches. On court three, Katy Propstra defeated Katia Roubanova in three sets, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. On court four, Kerry Giardino defeated Brandi Freudenberg in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. The Sun Devils received their final point on court six, where Faye DeVera defeated Petya Marinova 6-1, 6-2. ASU's top seed Allison Bradshaw, currently ranked 64th in the nation, was defeated by 34th-ranked Annica Cooper in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1.
On the doubles side, ASU's 24th-ranked duo of Bradshaw and Propstra were defeated by Basica and Cooper 8-6.
