
Women's Tennis Team Breezes by Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona women's tennis team fell to No. 10 UCLA, 6-0, Saturday at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center. The Wildcats dropped to 4-8 overall and 0-7 in Pac-10.
The No. 23 Wildcats had a tough day on the court against the Bruins, falling in every singles match. Freshman Lindsay Blau was defeated by Annica Cooper at the No. 1 spot 6-3, 6-3. Senior Monique Allegre lost to Amanda Bassica 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 2 position. Bruin's Katia Roubanova defeated Wildcat sophomore Joanna Buczowska 7-5, 7-5. Sophomore Michelle Gough fell at the No. 4 spot 6-3, 6-4 to Brandi Freudenberg. Wildcat Junior Vanessa Abel lost to Petya Marinova 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 5 position. UCLA's Rochelle Raiss defeated Arizona freshman Carly Stringer 5-7, 7-5, 6-4.
The Wildcats will be back in action March 25 when it hosts Northwestern at the Robson Tennis Center.
