
Bruins Sweep Matadors in Wooden Center

The third-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team swept No.5 Cal State Northridge Wednesday night in the John Wooden Center to end its home regular season.
The Bruins won 30-22, 30-25, 33-31 in 81 minutes before 576 rowdy fans. The victory raised UCLA's record to 22-5 overall, 16-5 in league play. The Matadors fell to 19-9, 13-8 in conference action.
Junior outside hitter Kris Kraushaar was the Bruins' kill leader with 11 and seven total blocks. He keyed a blocking attack that totalled 14.5 blocks to CSUN's 10.5. Junior Paul Johnson and senior Marcin Jagoda each added eight kills. Johnson was credited with a season-high of nine block assists.
Sophomore Brian Waite led the Matadors with 10 kills and eight total blocks.
The Bruins will travel to UC Santa Barbara Sat., Apr. 17 for their final regular season match.
UCLA will host a quarterfinal MPSF playoff match on Apr. 24 in Pauley Pavilion against an opponent to be named.
