
Bruins Win 39th Straight vs. Tritons

The No.1 ranked UCLA men's volleyball team won its 12th match of the season and 39th straight against UC San Diego Friday night in Pauley Pavilion.
The Bruins won by the scores of 30-15, 30-24, 30-21 in 70 minutes before 460 fans. UCLA raised its record to 12-1 overall and 8-1 in MPSF play. UC San Diego fell to 0-9 overall, 0-8 in league play.
Seniors Jonathan Acosta and Brennan Prahler led the way for UCLA. Acosta slammed 15 kills (.667) and Prahler, in his first start, added a season-high of 10 kills (.368) and four block assists.
The Bruins hit .385 for the match and held the Tritons to a percentage of .168. They out-blocked the visitors 6.0-3.0. Mike Reuter led UCSD with nine kills.
Next week the Bruins will host Stanford on Thursday, Feb. 17 and Pacific on Saturday, Feb. 19. First serve for both matches is set for 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
