Women's Tennis Qualifies for USTA/ITA National Team Indoors

UCLA's Jennifer Brady, Kyle McPhillips and Catherine Harrison paced the Bruins on Saturday, as all three players won in straight sets to seal the victory. Brady, who is ranked No. 24 nationally in singles, turned in the most dominating performance of the day, losing just one game en route to a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Mimi Fotopoulos at court No. 3. Brady also teamed with Robin Anderson at the No. 1 doubles position, notching a 6-2 victory over Seda Arantekin and Millie Nichols. Anderson and Brady are currently ranked No. 1 in the ITA Doubles Rankings.
When play was suspended, Anderson and Chanelle Van Nguyen were both up a set at court Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.
TCU's lone point of the afternoon came at court No. 6, where Arantekin was a 6-1, 6-4 winner over Bruin freshman Kelly Shaffer.
UCLA returns to action on Wednesday, hosting LMU at the LATC beginning at 1:30 p.m.
