UCLA at Colorado Game Notes – Oct. 25, 2014
- UCLA has won its last eight games played away from the Rose Bowl. The last time it had a longer streak was in 1997-98 (10).
- UCLA is 12-4 in true road games under Coach Mora and 9-3 in regular season Pac-12 away games.
- Paul Perkins' 92-yard run ties for the second-longest in UCLA history. The longest rush from scrimmage belongs to Chuck Cheshire who went 93 yards in a 1934 game vs. Montana. DeShaun Foster (v. Washington, 2001) and Skip Hicks (v. Washington State, 1997) also had runs of 92-yards.
- This was Perkins' fourth 100-yard rushing game of the season. He entered the game with 816 yards rushing and needed 184 to become the 13th Bruin to reach the 1,000 mark for a season. His career best is 190 yards in a game earlier this season vs. Oregon.
- Note - Several players have surpassed 1,000 yards rushing in multiple seasons and Perkins' feat would mark the 21st time a Bruin runner has reached the 1,000-yard mark in a season
- Brett Hundley tied Drew Olson (2002-05) for second on the all-time touchdown pass list on his 20-yard scoring toss to Jordan Payton in the first quarter. It was Hundley's 67th career scoring pass. Cade McNown (1995-98) is the school record holder with 68.
- Eric Kendricks recorded his 21st career game, seventh this season, with double-digit tackles against Colorado. He has led or tied for the team lead in tackles in each game this season.
- The 17 first-quarter points was the most scored by UCLA this season in the first 15 minutes of a game. The previous high was 13 scored against Memphis in game 2.
- Ka'imi Fairbairn's 31-yard first-quarter field goal was his 24th successful attempt from a distance of 35 yards and in. He converted his 25th straight attempt in the first overtime.
- Fairbairn, who entered the game with 255 career points tallied 10 points to move past Chris Griffith, 1999-02, and into eighth on the all-time UCLA career scoring list. Seventh on the list is DeShaun Foster, 1998-01, with 266 points.
- UCLA is 20-3 when scoring first and 22-0 when leading at the half under Coach Mora.
- UCLA now has an 8-1 record in overtime games. The last overtime game for the Bruins was in the 2008 season-opener in the Rose Bowl against Tennessee, a 27-24, UCLA win. The Bruins lone loss was in 2000, a 46-38 setback at California in three overtimes. The three overtimes is the longest extra play for the Bruins.
- Myles Jack recorded his ninth career rushing touchdown, second of the 2014 season, with his third-quarter scoring play.
