- The 80-yard touchdown pass from Brett Hundley to Eldridge Massington in the second quarter was the longest pass completion of Hundley's career. It was Massington's first career touchdown. It was also the longest pass completion by UCLA since quarterback Drew Olson connected with Joe Cowan on a 91-yard completion in a 2005 game against Arizona State played in the Rose Bowl. The Olson to Cowan pass also went for a touchdown.
- The 80-yard completions from Brett Hundley to Eldridge Massington and Jordan Payton tie for 11th on the school's all-time longest pass play list.
- Ismael Adams' 95-yard interception return for touchdown was his second for a score of this season (also at UVa). It is the eighth interception return in UCLA history of at least 95 yards (dating to 1957) and the longest since Abdul McCullough returned a theft 98 yards in a 1994 game at Arizona State.
- Brett Hundley registered his school-record 13th career 300-yard total offense game tonight against Arizona State. He entered the contest tied at 12 with Cade McNown, 1995-98. His total is over 400 for the third time in his career
- Ka'imi Fairbairn has now connected on 20 straight field goal attempts from 35 yards and in. He converted a 24-yard attempt in the first half.
- Brett Hundley tied Cory Paus, 1999-02, for second on the all-time school list for 300-yard passing games with tonight's effort at ASU. It was Hundley's seventh career 300-yard game. First on the list is Cade McNown with 11.
- Ishmael Adams' 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown is UCLA's first return for a score since Matthew Slater returned a kickoff 89 yards against Arizona State in a 2007 game played in the Rose Bowl. It is the fourth kickoff is UCLA history (dating back to 1957) of at least 100 yards and the longest since Slater returned a kickoff 100 yards in a 2007 game at Arizona.
- Brett Hundley's four scoring passes tonight vs. Arizona State match his career-best. He also has thrown four scoring passes in games in 2012 at Arizona State and versus Nebraska.
- Jordan Payton's receiving yards total of 151 yards is the most by a UCLA player since Nelson Rosario had 152 in a 2009 game at Oregon State.
- Since 2000, the Bruins have gone 9-6 in conference openers, including 7-3 on the road, with wins in the last three road openers--- at Arizona State-2014, at Utah-2013 and at Oregon State-2011
- The Bruins have started off each of the past three seasons with early win streaks – 2012 won first 3, 2013 won first 5 games. The current six-game win streak (over the past two seasons) is the longest under Coach Mora. The last time the Bruins won more than five straight games was in the 8-0 start to the 2005 season.
- The Bruins have started this season with three out of the first four games played away from home. The last time a UCLA began a season with three out of the first four games played away from the Rose Bowl was in 2001. The Bruins won at Alabama, at Kansas and at Oregon State in the first four games on the way to a 6-0 start.
- UCLA is 6-5 vs. ranked teams since 2012, last winning on the road against a ranked team at USC in 2013. UCLA's last win against a team ranked as high as No. 15 on the road was a 34-12 win at No. 7 Texas in 2010.
- UCLA has won its last six games played away from the Rose Bowl – 2014—at Arizona State, at Arlington, TX v. Texas; at UVa; 2013—Sun Bowl v. Va Tech, at USC, at Arizona
- The last time a Bruin team has put together a streak of more than five straight wins away from the Rose Bowl was a stretch of 10 straight games in the 1997 and 1998 seasons
- UCLA is 10-4 in true road games under Coach Mora
- Linebacker Eric Kendricks entered the game at ASU needing five tackles to tie safety Kenny Easley, 1977-80 for fourth on the all-time school tackles list. Linebacker Spencer Havner, 2002-05, is third on the list with 402 tackles.
- Brett Hundley entered the game at ASU third on the all-time school list for quarterback rushing yards with 1,177 yards. With 72 yards against ASU for a total of 1,249 yards, he moved past Jeff Dankworth, 1974-76, with 1,233 yards and into second place. Gary Beban, 1965-67, sits at the top of the list with 1,271 yards.
- Running back Paul Perkins has run for at least 50 yards in 10 career games. He recorded his second career 100-yard rushing game tonight against ASU.
- With the victory tonight at Arizona State, UCLA is 19-3 under Coach Mora when scoring first (9-3 on the road) and 20-0 when ahead at the half.
- UCLA is in the midst of a three-game stretch against teams which entered this week's play unbeaten. The Bruins will host Utah (3-0) on Oct. 4 and Oregon (4-0) on Oct. 11. UCLA also has a home date with unbeaten Arizona (4-0) on Nov. 1 and a road contest at Washington (4-0) on Nov. 8. In addition, the Bruins will play ranked teams from USC on Nov. 22 and from Stanford on Nov. 28 in the Rose Bowl to cap off the regular season.
