Senior Delaney Spaulding has hits in five straight games.

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. - Senior Delaney Spaulding tied for the team lead in home runs with her fourth on Friday, but the fourth-ranked Bruins dropped a 10-1, five-inning decision to #5 Oklahoma at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic II.

The Bruins (12-2) had just three hits. Redshirt freshman Rachel Garcia (5-2) struck out two in 3 1/3 innings, allowing seven runs (five earned), five hits and one walk. Junior Johanna Grauer fanned three in 1 2/3 frames of relief, giving up three runs (two earned), five hits and three walks.

Oklahoma got on the board in the top of the first thanks to a pair of two-out errors by freshman Bubba Nickles and sophomore Zoe Shaw, as Sydney Romero scored the game's first run. The Sooners added four more runs with two outs in the third on a grand slam by Shay Knighten to make it 5-0.

The Bruins got their first hit and run of the game on a single swing in the bottom of the third, as Spaulding hit a solo homer to left-center.

Oklahoma scored three more in the fourth on a two-run single by Caleigh Clifton and an RBI single by Fale Aviu to make it 8-1. In the fifth, an RBI ground out by Kelsey Arnold and an RBI single by Clifton put the Sooners up 10-1.
