CLEARWATER, Fla. - Redshirt junior Aaliyah Jordan had two hits and three RBI in game one of Sunday's doubleheader, a 15-2, five-inning victory over USF, before driving in the go-ahead, two-run double with two outs in the seventh in a 3-2 win against No. 5 Florida State at the Eddie C. Moore Complex.

In game one versus USF (2-7), UCLA (10-0) had 14 hits from nine different players. Junior Briana Perez notched three hits, while junior Kinsley Washington and sophomore Kelli Godin posted two hits. Junior Holly Azevedo struck out three in four innings of relief to move to 4-0 on the season. She allowed one run and four hits. Freshman Lexi Sosa fanned one in two innings, giving up a run, four hits and one walk.

The Bruins scored four times in the top of the first, as Washington and Perez singled, Jordan walked and freshman Maya Brady hit a grand slam to left-center, her fifth homer of the season.

The Bulls got a run in the third, but the Bruins added two in the fourth. Junior Delanie Wisz led off with a walk and Godin reached on a bunt single. Two outs later, Jordan doubled to left-center to plate a pair and make it 6-1.

USF cut its deficit to four with a run in the fifth, but UCLA scored nine times in the sixth, sending 12 to the plate. Washington led off with a single and scored when Perez singled and USF misplayed the ball in center to make it 7-2. A Jordan RBI double plated Perez to increase the lead to 8-2. One out later, freshman Taylor Edwards, who was running for Jordan, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a double by graduate student Jenavee Peres to bring the advantage to 9-2. Junior Alana Snow came in to run for Peres and would score the Bruins' 10th run after advancing on a wild pitch and coming home on an error with senior Jacqui Prober up. A single for junior Julie Rodriguez and a walk to Wisz loaded the bases for sophomore Megan Faraimo, who doubled to right-center to drive in three to extend the lead to 13-2. One out later, Perez homered to right-center to make it 15-2.

In game two against Florida State (7-4), Faraimo struck out 13 in a complete-game, five-hitter, allowing two runs (one earned), five hits and two walks. Thanks to an error, she posted a four-strikeout inning in the fifth, adding two strikeouts apiece in the first, sixth and seventh. The Bruins had 10 hits from eight different players, as Godin and Jordan both posted two hits.

The Bruins (11-0) got on the board first in the second inning. Peres led off with a double to left and scored one out later on a double to left by freshman Alyssa Garcia.

The Seminoles took the lead with single runs in the bottom of the second and third before UCLA rallied in the top of the seventh. Freshman Seneca Curo led off with a double to right and moved to third on a Godin sacrifice. One out later, Perez drew a walk, which was followed by Jordan's heroics, as she struck an 0-1 pitch to left for a double to plate a pair and give the Bruins the lead.

After giving up a leadoff single in the bottom of the seventh, Faraimo retired the next three, including the last one by strikeout to finish off the win.

The Bruins are back in action on Friday, Feb. 21 at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, taking on Texas A&M at 5:30 p.m.
