Bruins Look Ahead to Facing Loyola Marymount on Saturday

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women's rowing program will face Loyola Marymount in Marina del Rey, Calif., this Saturday in the Bruins' only home races of the spring season.
 
Races are scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. with a pair of UCLA boats.
 
The Bruins' scheduled races against Loyola Marymount will begin at approximately 12 p.m. The varsity four (V4+) is set for a noon start, followed by the second varsity eight (2V8+) and UCLA's third varsity eight (3V8+) at 12:15 p.m. The varsity eight (V8+) crews will compete at approximately 12:30 p.m.
 
UCLA will host its annual "Senior Day" festivities at the conclusion of the races (approximately 12:55 p.m.).
 
Following this Saturday's competition against LMU, the Bruins will race at the Dexter Lake Invitational in Lowell, Ore., on Saturday, April 29. UCLA's final races of the regular season will also take place in Lowell at the Pac-12 Championships on Sunday, May 14.
 
ABOUT UCLA'S BOATHOUSE: For fans looking to attend Saturday's races, spectators should use the public parking lot adjacent to Whiskey Red's at the end of Fiji Way. If parking at that site isn't available, spectators are encouraged to park at the free lot near Dock 52 – approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the Bruins' boathouse.
