ย

One batter later, Taylor Stephens smacked her first home run of the season โ a two-run shot โ with a longball that wrapped around the left field pole to extend UCLA's lead to 7-0.
ย
UCLA ended the game quickly in the bottom of the sixth, needing just two pitches. Jadelyn Allchin hit a double to center field on the first pitch see saw and Jordan Woolery doubled the next pitch into the right field corner to bring home the mercy-rule, walk-off run.

Palacios stepped to the plate next and a hit a solo homer to center field for her fourth home run in her last five games.
ย
A walk to Suarez put the mercy-rule winning run on base with one out. A single by Curo put Kate Blunt โ Suarez' pinch runner โ at second base a pinch-hit single by Madison Pacini loaded the pillows for Brady. On an 0-2 count, Brady ended the game with a RBI single up the middle.
ย
Cecil found herself in a couple of jams in the first two innings versus DePaul. The Blue Demons scratched the first run of the game in the first on a single into right field. Cecil closed the first with a strikeout, stranding two runners on. A walk and a single put two runners on base with two outs for the Blue Demons. That was all the damage Cecil allowed as she got out of the second with a strikeout on six pitches.

A slap single by Meoño brought up Maya Brady who scored Meoño from first base with a double that skirted past the DePaul center fielder's reach. Following a deep fly ball to center field by Allchin which moved Brady to third base, Woolery singled in the go-ahead run.
ย
Cecil struck out two more in the third inning before the Shelly Carlin UCLA Head Softball Coach motioned to Terry out of the bullpen in the fourth.
ย
In the bottom of the fourth, Stephens recorded her second RBI hit of the day on a single up the middle to stretch UCLA's lead to 3-1.
