UCLA VISITS NO. 22 USC, HOSTS WASHINGTON
The UCLA women's volleyball team will begin the second half of Big Ten play with a contest at No. 22 USC on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. (PT). The Bruins will then return to Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom Financial to host Washington on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. (PT) to complete the weekend.
FIRST SERVE
LAST TIME OUT
After falling to Oregon in straight sets despite a late offensive push, UCLA bounced back with a dominant sweep of Maryland at Pauley Pavilion. The Bruins struggled to contain Oregon's efficient attack (.327 hitting) and dropped all three sets, but rebounded with one of their best performances of the season, hitting .321 against Maryland. Cheridyn Leverette led both matches with a combined 27 kills, while Marianna Singletary added strong net play and service aces. Maggie Li returned to the lineup with 11 kills in the win, and setter Kate Duffey recorded a double-double. UCLA now turns its focus to a rivalry showdown with No. 22 USC.
ย
SUPER SCHUMACHER
Lola Schumacher has been remarkably consistent for UCLA at the libero position, recording 16 games with double-digit digs this season. She leads the conference in digs-per-set (4.29) and ranks fourth in the Big Ten for total digs (270). In Schumacher's 17 starts, she has reached double figure digs in 16 of them.

LI IMPRESSES IN RETURN TO STARTING LINEUP
Maggie Li's return to the starting lineup in Saturday night's win over Maryland was nothing short of energizing for UCLA as she made her first start since Sept. 6. She stepped back onto the court with poise and precision, delivering 11 kills and eight digs in an impressive all-around performance. Her offensive timing was sharp, consistently finding seams in the defense, while her back-row contributions added stability to UCLA's floor coverage. Li's presence also helped balance the Bruins' attack, complementing Cheridyn Leverette's dominant performance and allowing setter Kate Duffey to diversify her distribution. She also got involved in three blocks, showcasing her two-way impact.
ย
DUFFEY DIMES
Kate Duffey garnered Big Ten Setter of the Week honors after orchestrating UCLA's offensive dominance by dishing out 66 assists in the team's back-to-back ranked sweeps over No. 14 Minnesota and No. 22 USC. She went for 36 assists and nine digs in an excellent performance at No. 14 Minnesota and followed that up with her fourth double-double of the season, handing out 30 assists and snuffing out 11 digs against No. 22 USC. Defensively, she totaled five blocks and 20 digs. This is the first weekly honor of Duffey's career.
