Women’s Golf Places Fourth at PING/ASU Invitational

PHOENIX, Ariz. – The UCLA women's golf team closed out its regular season with a fourth-place finish (-3, 861) at the PING/ASU Invitational hosted at Papago Golf Course on Sunday. The Bruins posted round scores of 286-292-283 on the par 72 layout.
The performance marked the Bruins' third top-5 team finish of the season; the other two results came at the Illini Women's Invitational and Bruin Wave Invitational.
Tournament host and No. 9-ranked Arizona State won the team title with a score of -36, 828. Northwestern's Dianna Lee claimed the individual medal, registering a 10-under finish (70-68-68).
UCLA was one of four programs in the 13-team field to finish under par after the 54 holes. Freshman Angela Liu recorded her second top-20 placement of the season, leading the Bruins in a tie for 11th (-2; 70-73-71) among the 78 competitors. Senior Natalie Vo also finished under par and in a for 12th (-1; 71-69-75).
Vo recorded her lowest round of the season on day with a -3, 69. She holed four birdies and just one bogey.
Senior Tiffany Le placed just outside the top 20 in a tie for 21st (+1; 73-74-70). On Sunday, Le shot 2-under and was bogey free in her final seven holes.
